Support Channels

There are several support channels that users of Insignia Live can utilise to find assistance.

This guidebook is an unofficial guide that will be updated with common faults and solutions as time goes by.

Discord Support Forum

You can engage the Insignia Live community via the official Insignia Dashboard. Generally, this should be your first point of call if you cannot find a solution in this guidebook.

FAQ

  • Does Insignia support debug or development BIOSes or consoles?

    • No. Insignia Live does not currently support these consoles or debug applications/games. Please use a retail BIOS.

  • When will 'x' game be supported?

    • There is no concrete time frame for any game to be supported; please stay tuned for further updates!

  • Can I use Insignia Live on Xbox One consoles?

    • No. Insignia cannot support Xbox One/Series consoles in any capacity. The team may look into supporting Xbox 360's backwards compatibility feature in the future, but that is not planned at this time.

  • When will Insignia enter open beta?

    • The Insignia team would like the service to be in open beta as soon as they feel it's stable enough for a larger number of players to join; to ensure the server is not overloaded, they are currently releasing invites in batches of ~100-200.

  • I can't see if my friends are online or send a friend request.

    • Insignia Live does not currently support the services required for this as of yet. This is one of the core services required to be fully functional before Insignia Live exits the beta period.

  • My in-game performance seems slow or laggy.

    • Xbox Live is a peer-to-peer communication setup and therefore is susceptible to latency issues; if you can, ensure you have an Ethernet connection to your router (and not a wireless adapter or similar). If you are playing with a large group of people and the game supports it, such as Unreal Championship, consider getting a player to run a dedicated server on their console.

  • I can't connect to other players.

    • Your console should try and automatically forward port 3074 (UDP) to your console and will also perform NAT punching, but if you're having trouble, try manually forwarding this port to your Xbox console; guides on how to do so can be found on search engines for your specific router.

Account Recovery

If you need to conduct an account recovery, please note that the recovery card number is not the one you used during the Insignia Sign-Upprocess.

You must log in to your account via the Insignia website and view your recovery card details there.
